Minister of Science, Technology, Research and Innovation

Minister for Science, Technology, and Innovation Mahabir Pun has urged provincial and local governments across Nepal to allocate at least 1 percent of their capital budgets specifically toward science and innovation grants.

Taking to social media and formal ministerial channels, Minister Pun stated that formatting upcoming budgets with this allocation in mind is a prerequisite for long-term national prosperity. "Our ministry will take crucial steps necessary to make the country independent and self-sufficient. I will continuously work to instill a culture of development, research, and innovation across federal, provincial, and local layers of government," he noted.
