Minister of Science, Technology, Research and Innovation

Kathmandu — President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to independent lawmaker Mahabir Pun at the Shital Niwas on Tuesday evening. Pun has been appointed as the Minister for Science, Technology, and Innovation.

Pun, who secured a historic victory from the Myagdi-1 constituency as an independent candidate, was welcomed into the cabinet led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah. Upon taking the oath, Pun stated to the press that his priority will be to fully diagnose what has been neglected in previous science budgets and immediately structuralize a research-friendly ecosystem for Nepali youth.
